
Residency in Mobile Home Parks is governed both by State law, and by a variety of local ordinances in Sonoma County.
If you are the owner of a mobile home situated in a mobile home park you are covered by a special law known as the Mobile home Residency Law (California Civil Code, sections 789-799.7). This law is different than California landlord-tenant law. NOTE: Tenants renting a mobile home from the mobile home owner are not governed by the Mobile home Residency Law, but by California landlord-tenant laws and civil codes.
Owners of mobile home parks can terminate a tenancy only for one or more of the following reasons:
A 60-day written notice to terminate a tenancy is required for both the landlord and the mobile home owner. The landlord must specify one of the above reasons for terminating a tenancy.
Rental Agreements for Mobile Home Parks
The landlord must furnish the mobile home owner with a copy of the park rules, a list of services provided, and a copy of the Mobile home Residency Law at the beginning of the residency.
